13 weeks 3 days

It has been far too long since I wrote on here!

We have bought your bedding which I'm sure you will love, it has bears, hedgehogs and your mummies favourite ... Buttons :o)

Our nick name for you has become buttons, which I love!  Your Daddy is still talking to you a lot though my speakerphone (aka belly button)

We have started to look through the spare room, to get it ready for you, so far it hasn't changed much, but we do have a lovely swing crib, which mummy was given by Stacey, who you will see lots of (i'm sure).

My next scan is in 2 weeks, I will be 15 weeks and 1 day, so maybe we will find out what you are .... we have changed names, maybe this time they will stay :o)

we also have a 3D scan booked to see you at 28 weeks, Nanna and Grandad will probably come with us to say hello :o)

week 10

My 10 week bump ...

Scan - 9 Weeks 2 Days

Its been far too long since we spoke!

It has been a nice few days though :o)  Your Daddy has started talking to you a lot, which is sweet, mainly random nonsense, but he enjoys it and so do I.  I think that seeing you, when we had our scan on Saturday, made you seem more real to him.  He saw your little hand waving and decided that you wanted Daddy to say hello back.

I will do a new photo of my bump on Wednesday (Week 10) so we can see how fat you are making mummy.

Week 7

Well its week 7, but I haven't done a pic this week as I have been quite poorly with a horrible cold and morning sickness.  Or should that be morning, noon and night sickness? LOL.

We have been talking about names and so far have:

Castellan Cole for a boy
Oakley Rose for a girl

Daddy wants to find out what you will be, but I'm quite happy waiting to see when you arrive, but I think that we will find out if thats what daddy wants.

I have a scan booked in to see you on 11th February, so I will see you in two weeks baby xx

Week 6 Pic

Wow, I'm going to be a whale! Im either further along than I think or there is 4 of you in there!

I have been asked today if I'm pregnant, so I must either be past the stage of fat or people are braver than I am.  I would never have enough courage to ask someone, because knowing my luck, they would just be a moose and cry due to my ultimate nastiness.

Midwife appointment was fine, have a million booklets to read, my maternity notes to take to my appointments and a pee pot, other than that, there is nothing really to report, I feel slightly abandoned as I don't see her again until week 16!

Been thinking about getting a private early scan done, but haven't really discussed it with your daddy yet.

Knitting

On Friday I had the ingenious idea of knitting you a stripy blanket, I haven't knitted since I was about 11 years old.  I bought the wool and the needles, along with an appropriately stripy pattern.  Pleased with my purchase I couldn’t wait to get home for the weekend.

Knitting came flooding back to me like riding a bike, so I spent nearly the whole weekend knitting away, it is looking good, even if I do say so myself.  However I seem to have sustained some knitting related injuries, can you believe it! Pain from knitting! My finger has developed, what I can only describe as Repetitive Strain Injury and my shoulders feel like I have been lifting heavy weights, but I’m sure it will all be worth it in the end, I just need to develop my knitting endurance!

I have my midwife appointment at 14:00 today, I will update you on how that goes later xx

Sickness

Well it looks like the morning sickness has started to kick in, I hoped that it wouldn't appear this time, but I suppose you can't stop the inevitable!

I told the Boss yesterday which went really well :o)

Its all starting to feel real now, excitement!

I bought a week by week book yesterday so I can keep track of your progress, your heart will start to beat this week, though you still look more like a tadpole than a human.  Stay safe baby x

Dr's Confimation

Well I had my Dr's appointment today, its officially confirmed and my first Midwife's appointment is on Monday, by which point I will be 5 weeks and 5 days.

Your Daddy amused me today, he is already looking at trust funds for you.  You're going to be a very lucky baby, your Daddy is wonderful, I know that you will love him just as much as I do.

Week 5 pic

I have been told that it isn't unusual for a second pregnancy to show as early as 5 weeks as the abdomen wall is weakened from the first pregnancy, plus water retention and general bloating.

Let me put it this way, I spend the days sucking in my stomach at work as my normal size 8-10 frame is bloated to just about still squeezing into my size 10's.  Believe me I am not just letting it all hang out, so if this is what we are looking like now, your not going to be a secret for so long.  I will continue to suck it in and wear baggy clothes for as long as possible.

Its Positive

Well, who'd of thought ... two months of trying and I'm Pregnant!  by my calculations I will be 4 weeks and 6 days today.  Early days but I couldn't be happier.

I took the test yesterday, thinking that it would most probably be negative ... Positive!  I was shocked, still am.

Signs that I should have had some idea: (but you only think of this afterwards)

  a) The only time I have wanted super noodles was when I was pregnant, all I wanted for tea on Saturday  .... super noodles

  b) Itchy Legs

  c) Wanting to nap

  d) Too many Christmas chocolates?

I have decided to keep a blog to share my thoughts, joys, worries etc to look back on when you are finally here.  Im not really bothered if you are a boy or a girl, I already have your Brother George, so I know what to expect with a boy, cuddly, sweet and mummies little man, but I haven't got a girl so that would be nice too, ribbons and dresses.

I know that I have been here before, but that was 8 years ago and I seem to have forgotten pretty much everything, its like you are my first, I'm completely clueless!
